  • Run laboratory equipment and laboratory tests.
  • Prepare compounds and samples for theological/physical/mechanical property testing.
  • Assist product development members during manufacturing trials.
  • Maintain the upkeep of lab and lab equipment and stay on top of all required equipment services.
  • Follow good laboratory practices in storage and handling of liquid and powder raw materials.
  • Prepare basic data reports.
  • Be able to work independently.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge in Polymer science, Chemical Engineering/Engineering Technologies or similar/equivalent field.
  • At least five years of experience with polymers.
  • Knowledge of polymer processing, particularly of extrusion process of rigid PVC.
  • Hands-on experience in Roll mill and Hi- and Low- intensity powder/bulk material blending.
  • Powder/bulk material handling.
  • Experienced with various laboratory equipment and testing methods, i.e. Hi- intensity blender, Roll-mill, Brabender plasti-coder, Extruder, Heating/Cooling press, Tensile testing machine, Drop-dart and Izod impactors, VICAT/HDT tester, Color and Gloss meters, QUV and Xenon chambers, Sieve analyzer, Powder flow and Bulk density, Volatile content, Heat buildup, Coating adhesion and hardness.
